Crazy Lace Special Effects Enamels by Cheryl Anne. Enamel Frit, Enamel Frit, Glass Frit, for Copper, Gold, Silver, PMC artists. Crazy Lace Special Effects Enamels can be Torch Fired or Kiln Fired. We hope you will love this fun and funky mix. All our enamel mixes are made using unleaded Thompson Enamel which is made in the United States of America. Our enamel mixes work well with any 1000, 2000 series of Thompson Enamels. This is a hand made original product, created by my wife Cheryl Anne. We hand make and hand shift each color, several times before we even start to make our mixes Its very labor intensive, but we believe you will love the results. ** This mix comes in 2 parts in 2 Small Jar Set Combination Base = Your first coat in the process 80 mesh. Special Effects = Final coat in the 2 part process 80 mesh. (Crazy Lace) ** You will receive 1 small jar: Base You will receive 1 small jar: Special Effects Crazy Lace You can use Crazy Lace Special Effects Enamels on silver, gold, copper, brass, steel and PMC. Crazy Lace Special Effects Enamels can be used in a kiln, to make small components or larger art pieces. A little mix goes a long way. As the little particles of mix heat up, they spread out. This mix works well with cloisonné & champlevé pieces. You can also torch fire Crazy Lace Special Effects Enamels . We use our specially designed hand held trivets when making small components. This saves us time and money waiting for the kiln to heat up. How do I use the Crazy Lace Special Effects Enamels using a torch you ask? Well if you would like you can view our video here: Video link is here: Please copy and paste to new internet window. Hopefully some day Etsy will help their customers get to videos easier but until then, this is the best we can do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVTNrHZ8WyM SAFETY NOTES: Please work safely. Wear a mask when using this product. While we are not responsible for your safety, we do hope you will use common sense when using enamel products of any type. Crazy Lace Special Effects Enamel Directions on how to use ... Step One: Bottom layer (Base Color) Either kiln fire or torch fire 2-3 coats on your metal. Roll or shift on. Be sure to cover both sides of your project. Step Two: Final layer (Crazy Lace White or Black) Either kiln fire or torch fire 1 coat on top of your piece. Roll or shift on. If you want small dots of color = less time and/or lower temperature If you want larger dots of color = more time and/or higher temperature Try both ways to see which one you like the best. You can also use the base color by itself with no crazy lace mix on top, for matching jewelry beads or components. Have fun and we hope you enjoy our easy to use Crazy Lace Mixes. Crazy Lace special effects enamels were designed by my wife Cheryl Anne. She started with her new idea in November 2016 and she finalized her colors in March 2017. She loves creating colors that are fast, fun and easy to use. She loves to have a wow factor when using her enamels. We believe in working safely. We use unleaded Thompson Enamels (unleaded) to create all our products. We take pride in all of our mixes. Each mix is hand made. While we are not responsible for your safety, we do care. So we are reminding you. Always use your safety gear for your eyes and lungs when using enamels. Be sure to work in an area with good ventilation. 3 easy ways to Order or Reorder any of our mixes… Order on Line www.Etsy/Shop/ Packinghouse Gallery Order by Email

Order by Phone 727-596-7822 Questions: 727-596-7822 Eastern Standard Time. If we don’t answer we are most likely in the studio. Please leave a message and we will return your call. Thank you for your business and support. Special Notes: We use Joe Spencer's Original Bead Pulling Station. After making our beads, we leave the beads with our light on for at least an hour. Then we shut off the light and let them cool naturally usually over night. If you do this in most cases your pieces will anneal fine without a use of a kiln. IF you have cracking you can try. Anneal your bead or metal piece by keeping even heat on for a few hours in a Kiln. This will help IF you have cracking. You may have put to much Enamel on or forgot to enamel both sides of your piece. Well we hope you have fun making some really nice artistic pieces. Enjoy. Other info and questions our customers have.... What size are the jars that I will receive? Jars are 1 1/2 inches across and 3/4 inch tall, see through plastic. The beads do not come with your order. The beads are there to show you the color combination results. We can make beads for you if you desire using this color or any of other color of your choice. To have custom beads made for you, please email us for details and pricing. Questions customers ask. What size enamel mixes/ or frits are best for my needs? Our small size frits are used for copper shapes, PMC pieces and small beads made in the kiln or torch fired. The small size enamels work well with cloisonné & champlevé works. Our medium size frits are used for medium size shapes, PMC pieces and medium beads made in the kiln or torch fired. Our large size frits are used for large size shapes, PMC pieces and large beads and outdoor sculpture work made in the kiln or torch fired. The large size is nice to do swirling with. The colors really pop. Why do some enamel mixes/ blends cost more after 2016. ? Well for over 40 years Joe purchased enamels with Thompson Enamel. He had a lot of stock of his original colors on hand that he could sell, at the prices he purchased from years ago. When we started testing for new color mixtures, unfortunately we had to purchase enamels at the higher prices. We needed enamel to make the mixes and we needed to purchase enamels from Thompson at the new prices. Which as you can imagine, prices from several years ago, were cheaper than they are now. This is just the way it is. We can't control that part of things. Sorry. Will your enamel mixes work with 90 96 or 104 Coe glass? No not usually. Some times it does seem to work and then months later the items begin to crack. Why is glass frit for bead makers cheaper than enamel glass frit? Enamel glass frit is made special to work with copper, silver, gold and PMC and metal clays. The cost to produce the enamel is more. Add to that bead making frit for 90-96-104 glass makers is sold already shifted and sized for them. This is not so when dealing with enamel. Thompson enamels come in 6/325 size. We hand shift each color, several times before we even start to make our mixes. A lot of love and labor there. But its so worth it. Remember, the enamel colors spread with heat, so little bit goes a long way. —————————— Joe Spencer’s Bead Making Technique Joe started testing enamel techniques in 1965. In 1970 he started teaching other artist how to work with enamel mixes and copper. Joe taught his bead making techniques until about one week before he went to heaven in August of 2016. He was 91 years young and was still teaching. He loved sharing information and loved seeing the excitement of his students. Please note: We do everything we can to try and produce photographs that show the true color as they appear in our studio. However your computer monitor and our monitor may not be the same.
