Using Special Effects enamels to create matching bead sets.
Enamel Glitter for Bling power
Finishing techniques after firing
Setting up torches
Preparing/making their beads from copper.
Students will be learning basics of enameling beads from start to finish.
We will be using Enamel Mixes and Enamels Blends to create cylinder & oval bead shapes.
Repair clinker beads
Each student learns at their own pace, if time allows we can also look into..
Swirling techniques
Layering techniques to add depth to beads
Special effects enamels & enamel glitter.
Lab Fee includes use of workstations, torch holders, bead pulling stations, mandrels, lamps, copper, mapp gas and Joe Spencer's Original Enamel Mixes & Blends.
Joe designed 12 mixes used in his classes since 1965 and 12 frit blends from 2015. If you have other enamel colored frits on hand or would like to purchase other color mixes we offer, you may do so.
Supplies will be on hand if students desire to purchase additional materials to continue at home.
