The area of the mandrel where the bead would be slid on, has been sanded down to a point. This makes getting your bead on and off easier.
The easy grip handle is made with plastic, so its guilds nicely when you are using it.
Joe designed this tool for limited production of glass and enamel bead making. This is the same mandrel design he has been using in his classes and workshops for years.
In 2015 Joe will be 90 years young.
He and I spend a lot of time together making tools and having fun creating art pieces together.
