Custom Bead Mandrel with Easy Grip Handle by Joseph Spencer This is a mandrel was made for glass and enamel bead artist. This is the large size 14 mm This easy to use, comfortable feeling mandrel guides threw your hand as you are using fire to create wonderful beads. After using this mandrel, a wimpy mandrel just won't be enough. Details about this custom mandrel This mandrel is 9 inches long The hole size is 1/8 inch or 3.2 mm The thickness or gauge is 9 This mandrel is made of Stainless Steel The area of the mandrel where the bead would be slid on, has been sanded down to a point. This makes getting your bead on and off easier. The easy grip handle is made with plastic, so its guilds nicely when you are using it. Joe designed this tool for limited production of glass and enamel bead making. This is the same mandrel design he has been using in his classes and workshops for years. In 2015 Joe will be 90 years young. He and I spend a lot of time together making tools and having fun creating art pieces together. We enjoy enameling very much.
